Case Study: Right.Link
— IT Services & Consulting Company

Team Size: 11–50 employees
Location: Portugal
Format: Online, 1:1
Engagement: June – July 2025
The Challenge
Right.Link, a growing IT services company founded by engineers, faced increasing complexity in financial management.

As the CEO began planning for scaling, it became clear that critical financial data was missing or fragmented, making it hard to assess risks or make confident decisions.

The company needed a clear, structured financial system to:
  • Understand profitability across projects
  • Streamline reporting and payouts
  • See all key financial data across all years in one dashboard
  • Calculate ROI on sales and lead generation investments
  • Support confident hiring and reinvestment decisions
  • Evaluate company value and identify growth blockers
Our Approach
We started with a full-scope financial audit — reviewing historical data, cash flows, project budgets, and reporting structure. It was not that things were broken — but the numbers didn’t tell a clear story.

There was no single place to see:
  • how much the company had actually earned over the years,
  • how profitable each project or client really was,
  • whether the company had the potential to become a sellable asset,
  • and whether lead generation efforts were paying off.
Without this clarity, it felt like nothing was really working, even though the team was doing a lot right.

We built a custom Excel-based system that brought everything together in one place:
  • A clear P&L, with income and expenses broken down by project
  • A cashflow model with real projections and timelines
  • ROI calculator to track return on hiring, marketing, and lead generation
  • Consolidated historical data across all years — to finally understand true financial performance

Our focus was to give the CEO clarity and confidence — to make big decisions not from gut feeling, but from data.
Results
In just four weeks, the collaboration created a measurable shift in how the company understands and manages its financial performance.

  • Major improvements in reporting and financial structure
  • A redesigned P&L with guidance on restructuring categories for better insight
  • Streamlined payout schedule and monthly reporting process — faster, cleaner, and easier to maintain
  • A unified dashboard with all historical financial data, enabling long-term analysis
  • A clear ROI model for evaluating marketing and lead generation investments
  • Improved cashflow visibility and data-backed decisions on reinvestment
  • Tools and templates that will support the team without external dependency
  • Direct alignment with the company’s 5-year business goals

“We saw major improvements in our company reports and structure, which helped us meet our business goals. It became easier to operate with cash flow and to make reinvestment decisions.”
